At Crafty Enterprise, our philosophy for holistic mental health services is rooted in the belief that mental well-being is a vital component of overall health and success, both at the individual and organizational levels. Comprehensive Counseling Services:
Crafty Enterprise is dedicated to providing high-quality counseling services to support individuals in their journey toward mental well-being. Our team provides comprehensive counseling services that encompass a diverse range of mental health professionals, including compassionate counselors, mentors, therapists, coaches, and other qualified professionals who specialize in providing support and guidance tailored to the unique requirements of each individual.
Mobile Treatment Services:
Crafty Enterprise’s Mobile Treatment Services are tailored to meet the needs of individuals, including children and adolescents, within the Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS) who are struggling with serious mental health conditions. Guided by the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 10.09.70, our program delivers intensive, community-based psychiatric treatment for those unable to be effectively served in traditional outpatient settings.
Eligibility Criteria for Children and Adolescents:
Children may qualify for Mobile Treatment Services if they meet the following criteria outlined by COMAR:
1. Diagnosed Mental Health Disorder:
Children must have a serious emotional disturbance (SED) as defined by the DSM-5, which substantially impairs functioning in family, school, or community settings. This includes disorders such as:
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Bipolar Disorder
- PTSD
- Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders
- Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder
- Severe Anxiety Disorders
If the child does not yet have a full DSM-5 diagnosis but is experiencing severe emotional or behavioral difficulties, they may still be eligible under clinical exception criteria pending formal evaluation.
2. Functional Impairments:
The child must demonstrate serious functional impairments in at least two of the following areas:
- Home or family life: Difficulty maintaining relationships with caregivers or siblings; high levels of family conflict due to behavioral health needs.
- School functioning: Frequent suspensions, academic failure, or refusal to attend due to emotional dysregulation or behavioral issues.
- Community integration: Risk-taking behavior, conflicts with authority, or involvement in the juvenile justice system.
3. Risk of Harm or Disruption:
Children at risk of harm to themselves, others, or property due to untreated mental health symptoms may qualify. MTS provides preventative intervention to stabilize youth and avoid psychiatric admissions or out-of-home placements.
4. Special Considerations Under COMAR:
- Youth at risk of institutionalization due to behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Youth transitioning from psychiatric inpatient care who need step-down services before reentering school or home.
- Homeless youth or those in unstable housing, where outreach and mobile services can prevent deterioration.
Our Commitment: Crafty Enterprise’s mobile treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed clinicians, nurses, case managers, mentors, and coaches who meet children where they are; whether in the home, school, or community; to build lasting therapeutic relationships and help them thrive. We also coordinate with schools, social services, and families to build a circle of support around each child.

Youth Basketball & Mentorship
We proudly partner with Team Magic Youth Basketball Program, led by USA Basketball-certified head Coach Mike Owens. Team Magic offers year-round training, summer camps, and a focus on academic success through its "No Books, No Ball" initiative. In collaboration with organizations like NextStep ServSafe, the program provides opportunities for youth and families, including field trips, school events, and church outreach. Together, we aim to inspire young athletes and strengthen our community.

Our partnership enables us to expand our reach to the youth and provide even more resources and services to families in need. Together, we can create meaningful opportunities, such as field trips and fun days, that bring joy and enrichment to our young athletes. By collaborating on school events and engaging with local churches, we aim to foster a sense of community, connection, and support for families. These efforts ensure that every child and their loved ones feel empowered and uplifted through our shared commitment to their success.
